Jepkoech Shayo
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Kampala Works
- 2007 to 2015
- English
My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 2007 in Kampala and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 14 years later for another job.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Jepkoech
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Jepkoech: Any gift will help me keep the workshop open for evening lessons.
