Jepkoech Naliaka Otieno

Painter, potter and teacher at The Mwanza Studio

  • 🇹🇿 Mwanza, Mwanza, Tanzania
  • The Mwanza Studio
  • Since 1996
  • English, Swahili
I work mostly in sculpture, sometimes textiles. My first show was in 1996 at The Mwanza Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. I also teach a weekly class at The Mwanza Studio, which keeps me honest. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Jepkoech

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
