I teach special education at Dehiwala Middle School in Dehiwala since 2009. Most days I teach the final-year class, and my door is open at lunch.
I've run the gardening club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I walk the dog by the river.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Jayanthi
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
