Jayanthi G. Krishnan

15 years teaching early years in Siliguri

🇮🇳 Siliguri, West Bengal, India
Siliguri Middle School
1984 to 2013
English, Malayalam

I taught early years at Siliguri Middle School in Siliguri from 1984 to 2013. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term. Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Jayanthi

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
