I've coached cricket at Ciudad de México Swimming Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 11 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Javier
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Javier: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
