Januka Laxmi Ghimire
32 years teaching religious studies in Bhaktapur
- 🇳🇵 Bhaktapur, Bagmati, Nepal
- Bhaktapur Grammar School
- 1987 to 1997
- English, Nepali
I taught religious studies at Bhaktapur Grammar School in Bhaktapur from 1987 to 1997. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I never turned anyone away.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Januka
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Januka: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
