Janani K. Varma
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Mumbai Trades Guild
- Since 1986
- English
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 1986 in Mumbai and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.

What gifts mean to Janani: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
