Janani K. Sivakumar
Accounting and religious studies teacher, Surat
- 🇮🇳 Surat, Gujarat, India

For 20 years I was the accounting teacher at Good Shepherd Secondary School. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 380 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Janani
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Janani: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
