Jana Schmid
19 years teaching geography in Düsseldorf
- 🇩🇪 Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
- Düsseldorf Academy
- Since 2006
- German
I came to teaching late, after working as a mechanic, and 20 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Jana
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Jana: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me geography in 2015 at Düsseldorf Academy. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand Truly.
