I coached cross country at Kassel Community Club from 1990 to 2001. Most of my players were between 12 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.

What gifts mean to Jana: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 1995. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Saint-Denis.
