I'm a cross country coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 230 kids fall in love with the game.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Jana: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Lansing.
