Jana Anna Schäfer
Taught art at Highland Grammar School
- 🇩🇪 Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany
- Highland Grammar School
- 2005 to 2025
- English
For 20 years I was the art teacher at Highland Grammar School. I taught Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I walk the dog by the river. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Jana
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Jana: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me art in 2021 at Highland Grammar School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
