Jamila Yasmin Tawfik
Master of masonry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇲🇦 Rabat, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Morocco
- Little Sunrise Trades Guild
- Since 1984
- English
I've worked in masonry since 1984. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 880 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.
I'm still learning every day.

What gifts mean to Jamila: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
