Jamila Basma Abbas
Songwriting player and teacher in Giza
- 🇪🇬 Giza, Giza, Egypt
- Giza Choir
- 1989 to 2018
- English, Arabic
I play songwriting and traditional drumming. I started in 1989 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 12 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I make terrible puns.

What gifts mean to Jamila: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
