James Mwangi Ochieng

Wrestling and fitness coach, Dar es Salaam

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Dar es Salaam Harmony Athletic Club
  • 1997 to 2020
  • English, Swahili, Spanish
I coached wrestling at Dar es Salaam Harmony Athletic Club from 1997 to 2020. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.

More about James

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
