I've volunteered with Brooklyn Neighborhood Trust from 1980 to 2004. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
I answer every message, eventually. Small habits keep a team together.
More about James
We run on goodwill and a very old kettle.
What gifts mean to James: I'd put a gift toward transport for our volunteers.
