Jade B. Young
Master of masonry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇿 Manukau, Auckland, New Zealand
- The Windsor Shop
- Since 1998
- English
I've worked in masonry since 1998. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 1,400 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I sing in a choir.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Jade
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Jade: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
