Jacques T. Fortuin

Youth hockey coach and mentor

  • 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
  • Johannesburg Athletic Club
  • Since 1997
  • English
For 29 years I've run the hockey program at Johannesburg Athletic Club in Johannesburg. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Jacques: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
