I've spent 39 years as a lecturer in materials science at Harbor Polytechnic in Saint-Denis. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I make terrible puns.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Jacques
If you wrote a dissertation with me, I probably still have a copy on my shelf.
What gifts mean to Jacques: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
