I taught design and technology at Northside Middle School in Vancouver from 1989 to 2021. Most days I taught Year 10, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I walk the dog by the river. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
