I coached athletics at Yonkers Pioneer Sports Club from 2015 to 2025. Most of my players were between 11 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Jack
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Jack: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
