Jabu L. Coetzee
Jazz player and teacher in Johannesburg
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Johannesburg Willow Creek Ensemble
- Since 1989
- English
I play jazz and tabla. I started in 1989 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 7 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Jabu
I write my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Jabu: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
