Jabu D. Nkosi
Chemistry teacher at Soweto Grammar School, 1990 to 2012
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Soweto Grammar School
- 1990 to 2012
- English
I taught chemistry at Soweto Grammar School in Soweto from 1990 to 2012. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 640 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Jabu
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
