Ivy Ortiz

Helping people break into farming

  • 🇺🇸 Rochester, New York, United States
  • Rochester Foundation
  • Since 2001
  • English
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,050 people through Rochester Foundation. Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Ivy: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
