I coached tennis at Alcalá de Henares Swimming Club from 1992 to 2007. Most of my players were between 12 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Iván
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Iván: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

Thanks for picking me when I was the slowest kid on the team! Greetings from Soweto.
