San Cristóbal de las Casas Academy was my second home. I taught drama there from 1998 to 2024, mostly mixed-ability classes. Outside the classroom I'm always reading two books at once. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Itzel

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Itzel: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
