Itzel P. Delgado
Volunteer mentor with Gateway Youth Network
- 🇨🇴 Envigado, Antioquia, Colombia
- Gateway Youth Network
- 1978 to 2006
- Spanish
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 760 people through Gateway Youth Network.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If I mentored you, I hope you're still pushing yourself.

What gifts mean to Itzel: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
