My trade is plumbing. I opened my own shop in 2007 in San Jose and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 23 years later for another job.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Isla
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
