Isla C. Burton
Youth rowing coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Bakersfield, California, United States
- Crown Swimming Club
- Since 2005
- English
For 21 years I've run the rowing program at Crown Swimming Club in Bakersfield. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answer every email, even at midnight.

What gifts mean to Isla: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
