I coached badminton at Aberdeen Boxing Gym from 1995 to 2019. Most of my players were between 11 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Ishrat
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Ishrat: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
