Ishrat Mondal
Calligraphy and oil painting artist
- 🇧🇩 Gazipur, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- The Gazipur Print Workshop
- Since 1978
- English, Bengali
I work mostly in calligraphy, sometimes oil painting. My first show was in 1978 at The Gazipur Print Workshop, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at The Gazipur Print Workshop, which keeps me honest.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Ishrat
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
What gifts mean to Ishrat: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.

I bought one of your pieces in 1990. It's still the first thing I see in the morning. Greetings from Khulna.
