For 28 years I've run the martial arts program at Bakersfield Athletic Club in Bakersfield. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
