Isabel J. Santos
Master of carpentry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇭 Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Old Manila Workshop
- 2005 to 2021
- English, Filipino
I've worked in carpentry from 2005 to 2021. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 500 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Isabel
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Isabel: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
