Irfan Dedi Hidayat

Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices

  • 🇮🇩 Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia
  • The Heritage Workshop
  • Since 1996
  • English
I've worked in thatching since 1996. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 1,080 apprentices. The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 14 years later for another job.

More about Irfan

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
