Irene Vida Twum
Helping people break into engineering
- 🇬🇭 Takoradi, Western, Ghana
- Takoradi Learning Hub
- 1989 to 2012
- English, Spanish
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 510 people through Takoradi Learning Hub.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Irene
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Irene: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
