Irene Ruth Mukasa

Teacher at Embakasi High School, loves French

🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
Embakasi High School
2017 to 2025
English, Swahili, French

I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and eight years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I ran the reading group after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Irene

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

Subjects taught

French History

What gifts mean to Irene: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
