Irene Esther Opio
First-generation students mentor, Nairobi
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- 1980 to 2003
- English, Swahili
For 23 years I've mentored people in first-generation students and finance. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
More about Irene
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
