Irene Anyango Simiyu
Badminton and fitness coach, Kasarani
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Meadowbank Youth Club
- 2004 to 2022
- English, Swahili
I coached badminton at Meadowbank Youth Club from 2004 to 2022. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily.
More about Irene
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Irene: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
