Ioana Camelia Matei
Painter, potter and teacher at Pioneer Studio
- 🇷🇴 Iași, Iași, Romania
- Pioneer Studio
- 1999 to 2022
- English, Romanian
I work mostly in illustration, sometimes oil painting. My first show was in 1999 at Pioneer Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I never rush a conversation. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ioana
I've had 9 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Ioana: Any gift helps me keep the free Saturday class running.

I bought one of your pieces in 2007. It's still the first thing I see in the morning. Greetings from Negombo.
