For 40 years I have been the social studies teacher at Manchester Academy. I teach teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Imran
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Imran: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
