Imelda P. Navarro
Youth swimming coach and mentor
- 🇵🇭 Mandaue, Cebu, Philippines
- Mandaue Rosewood Youth Club
- Since 1980
- English, Filipino
For 46 years I've run the swimming program at Mandaue Rosewood Youth Club in Mandaue. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily.
More about Imelda
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Imelda: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
