I've been a nurse for 16 years, most of them in intensive care at Nairobi Community Hospital in Nairobi. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
