For 18 years I have been the social studies teacher at Cairo Boys' School. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I run most mornings. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
