Ikenna Kayode Kalu
Tabla player and teacher in Badagry
- 🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria
- Orchid Music School
- 2001 to 2010
- English, French
I've played tabla from 2001 to 2010, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 13 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Ikenna
I wrote my first song when I was 18. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Ikenna: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
