I taught organic chemistry at Kazan Polytechnic from 1999 to 2014, and supervised 40 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I walk the dog by the river.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
