I coached swimming at Highland Sports Club from 1981 to 2004. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ife
If you played for me, you probably remember the rainy sports day.
What gifts mean to Ife: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
