Idowu Chidinma Igwe
Tabla player and teacher in Lagos
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Ashford Orchestra
- Since 2007
- English
I play tabla and brass band. I started in 2007 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 19 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Idowu
I write my first song when I was 22. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Idowu: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
