I taught geography at Freiburg Middle School in Freiburg from 2018 to 2025. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 290 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
