Ibrahim Uchenna Ogunleye
Traditional drumming and oud teacher
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lagos Pioneer Choir
- Since 2008
- English
I play traditional drumming and oud. I started in 2008 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 18 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ibrahim
I write my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.
