İbrahim Oğuz Tekin
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- Istanbul Shop
- 2013 to 2022
- English, Turkish
My trade is thatching. I opened my own shop in 2013 in Istanbul and I'm still there most mornings.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about İbrahim
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to İbrahim: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
